They may very well work indeed. I personally hope they do. I still think asking people what they think about something is only partly useful. Most people attack problems with multiple approaches at once. If you make a water partial and then use the product and test what does it tell you? I often get people asking for something they believe works in their aquarium, and after asking them a few questions I ususally conclude they don't really know if the product works or not, they just think it does.
Take a product like AmmoLock for example. You can open a bottle and test it without diluting (straight out of the bottle) and you will get extremely high ammonia readings. (Quick Test) It doesn't mean that it doesn't work, but it does make it difficult to be certain, since it throws off test kits. Water change in a bottle sounds great to me.
