AI Sol height

I am going to be building a canopy for my 75 gallon and would like to hear from other AI Sol users the distance they keep their lights from the water surface. I have heard 12" all the way to 24" and somewhere in between.

So, what distance do you keep them from the water surface?

With 26 inches from the waterline to my sandbed i have my ai lights floating an even 14 inches above the water line and thats great for me

Mine are 12 inches above the eater works for me I have 4 modules how many are u using

I have 2 fixtures above. 65 gallon tank. 10 inches from the water. I am going to try to raise it to 12-14 for better spread as I think the spread can be currently improved in my situation

I have 8 fixtures mounted 13" from the waterline at 55%whites 69%blue and 65% royalblue.

I have 2 AI's over my 75 gallon rimless, they are 10" AWL, and not problems.

I have 2 at 8"AWL but my tank is 29" high. Currently at 85WH,80B,80RB.

30 inches from the sandbed and 12 inches from the top of the tank. 95% SPS tank.
