Just get a bunch of LR cured or not. The rock will cycle your tank so you have no need of putting a fish in there you may not want later. Also beware becuase there is a lot of debate over the bio-balls. Not to mention that the LR does the same thing anyways.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the great info. Since this thread started I have set up a 10 gallon qt/holding tank for the mollies. I acclimate over about a 3 hour period and then the plan is to release one into the frog tank once a week. The first one disapeared the first night in...
What do you think about just planting the tank with some macro's (instead of the fuge). And then getting a chep HOB filter for carbon when needed. Also Can any hosting anenome's even be housed under the small amount of pc (32 watts).
Hey all I am going to setup my 8 gallon via aqua as a nano. I am going to scrap the filter it coomes with and get HOB. I really want to ad some macro to the tank and maybe a small fuge. The lighting sucks I really don't know what to do about that yet. I may just leave it and stock the tank...
I think you have the makings of a clown rumble that would make the WWE jealous. As for a lve rock divider your gonna have to get some mortar and make it a live rock brick wall.
Ya I know it's the next town over. We have to lfs's in my town. I have been banned from one. The other has really nice people but A. they don't know what they are doing (i hate hearing someone at the lfs giving just terrible advice). B. they are crazy overpriced. MY "$50" frogfish from over...
Thats about all I really want anyways. They usually give me pretty good deals as it is. The only bummer is that It's a 4 hour round trip to get there. That made my twenty dollar frog closer to a fifty dollar frog considering gas prices.
Has anybody converted the little via aqua 8 gallon tanks into nano's? IU have on lyin around and could use some ideas on converting. I think the "filter" is pretty useless And the I beleive the light is like 13 watts. I Waant way more light and better filtration while keeping the nice...
He was transferred underwater into "my" QT as for all of the other trips he made from the ocean to the lfs I can't even speculate. I think the big meal theory sounds likely. Do you think some kind of compensation should be given to me. Or will I just have to eat this one?
Sorry I guess I didn't lay the sarcasm on thick enough.
The punchline is that my local lfs is selling peope those red sea deco tanks with the little light complete with a RBTA and a nice little "nemo" to live in it. These people kill me.
I had purchased a new frogfish last thursday. He looked pretty good at the lfs. I noticed that he looked kind of fat when he was bagged but I shrugged it of to a full belly. He basically diapeared into the reef until today. I finally saw him coming out of the rock work and he looked really...
Has anyone seen the little 1/2 gallon nano's around. They come with a pc light and a back-pak type filter. Would this thing be able to keep a fish alive or would it be stricktly inverts. I was kicking around the idea of getting one and puttin a little inch long frogfish in it. Would this be...
