    8O 8O IMO live rock is enough to cycle a tank or if you really want to jumpstart the cycle I have known of people who put a small piece of raw shrimp in there tanks. Household ammonia 8O

  5. How much fresh saltwater do you keep on hand?

    I also had (coming back from saltwater retirement :P )2 30g trash cans. One can I would use with my RO/DI unit to house newly filtered water and the other can I would use to keep a constant supply of saltwater on hand.

    I don't think I will ever get a decent pic of sissy, she has grown quite a bit. Was under 2 inches when I got her and now I estimate her length at 4 inches...

    As other said you should be fine but more than likely you will have a small cycle but should not be any problems....

  14. "Live Rock" RELIVE!

    Deifnatelty!! You will be amazed once the rock gets encrusted with coraline algae, feather dusters will pop up out of nowhere along with possibly some macro algaes and I have even been lucky enough to get a hitchhiker coral or two in my time.....
