I have 2 Rasta Zoa frags and im unsure where to put them. I have a RedSea 170 43gal. I'm using an AI 32hd @ 57%. I see alot of people on Facebook and other forums putting them on the bottom when I do that they dont ever seem to open. If I put them about 1/3rd of the way up they open but I don't...

so bare with me because im new but essentially your say to take a razor and cut through the leg and it should survive? Do you have a suggested length back from the head to make the cut? Id really like to keep the leather its a great size and does look beautiful.

i have not attempted to remove from skull. the leather has about a 4 to 5 inch leg which is so attached to the skull i know it would die if i try to remove. the rainbow i really dont want becuase of the other corals im placing in the tank. i also dont have a big tank. its a 43 gal
