Thanks Frank, I've been on another forum (shame on me) :), and the hot topic is how bad all the other salts except the hot brand are! But it does seem that you are making up for certain deficiencies by adding the suppliments!

I fully understand that MH lights do make it easier to achieve good color and coral growth especially with SPS. I also understand that the shallower the tank the more light will penetrate. I have 450 watts of PC dual actinics and days, and am experimenting with a couple of acropora millepora...

I,m not sure if i was directed to the right forum from Frank Essers TOTM page in A A Magazine but I have a question for Frank, what brand of salt are you using ? There seems to be much debate on how poorly some salts work. Do you feel that adding the suppliments compensates for elements missing...
