Hi, I have a freshwater fish, an anastasoma, which is now over 16 years old. How long does this "nasty" fish live? He lives alone since he has always killed any other tank mate. He is now my oldest fish, he just outlasted a saltwater Humbug that made it past 15 years.

All you need is enough sump capacity to handle ALL the water. I have often thought of doing the same thing but my display tanks aren't at the same level at the water surface.........siphon would mess that up pretty quickly.

I disagree with 1 & 3. I have gone with the pendent on mine. And yes, there isn't a lot of room below but there is enough.

Are there fans in the pendents? I am not sure why you would put them in another "fixture"......wouldn't you just attach them to a rack or something like that?

Forget the glue on the glass then. glue the powerhead to a good magnet and keep the power cord taut............that should do it.

I wouldn't use the silicone. Go for the super glue gel, that will work

I recently set up a closed loop with a Dart pump on an oceanmotions 4 way. It is suprisingly quiet....relative to everything else in my reef room.
