I have read numerous articles about dissolving kalkwasser before diluting it in RO/DI water. I was just curious about everyone's opinion on this matter before I plan to do it with my reef tank. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys I was just curious about how to frag a leather coral. I heard you can just cut it and wedge it in some rockwork and it will be fine. I was wondering if this is true?

Have any of you seen an advantage to making your own saltwater? I'm asking because I live in San Diego and can easily obtain sea water for free from Scripps. If this is not advised and I should just make my own please let me know. Thanks.

Yeah my tank evaporates a little under a gallon a day. So I'll just keep that seperate. Nice thanks for the information. :)

I just purchased some kalkwasser and aqua dosed it in my tank. However, I'm not too sure how often I should be doing this. If I had to guess I suppose I would add it everytime I lose water due to evaporation. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
