Yes, likely an injury, and you can treat (in your main tank) with Epson salts (I think 1 tsp per 5 gal is recommended at webwetmedia.com). I used this treatment for a wrasse and it cleared up within a couple days.

I'm considering installing an under-counter RO system in my kitchen. Does anyone know how RO systems from Home Depot, etc. compare to those sold for aquariums (Kent, Seachem, etc). Do the under-counter systems produce aquarium-quality water? Or better? Thanks.

I recommend a Queen or Fighting Conch. They both eat cyano. I had two persistent patches of cyano in my 75 until I added a small (1.5") Queen Conch -- it went through them like a little vacuum cleaner! The cyano has not come back, and the now conch eats other algae/detritus off the substrate...
