Another vote for gulf-view. I added 60 lbs of premium coralline about a month ago. The stuff is amazing. Most if not all of the life that came on it is still doing great. Tons of mollusks, dusters, mini stars, macros, etc.

If you're looking for a retro kit or fixture, I would check out cooltouchlighting on ebay. I got my MH retro from them for cheap and it's great.

You can get a dual 175 watt MH retrofit fixture from cooltouchlighting on ebay for around $175. I just got one and love it. They also have different types of fixtures or they can build them custom.

Be careful with their LR. I've heard mixed reviews on it. I would go with rock from Dale at www.gulf-view.com. I've seen pictures of his "base" rock that looks like fiji show pieces.

Try shortening the photoperiod on your halides and feed less to cut down the hair.
