  3. hyposalinity and refractometer ?s

hi guys, Just a couple of questions about hyposalinity, what sort of level do you recommend? there are seems to be a few different recommendations (between 1.009 - 1.015). An article which i got the link from this forum says 1.009-1.010 (78-80 F) or 16 ppt. which brings me to the next question...

  11. stocking order for tang

yep, i thought we would have a lot of types but nope. probably those guys in the eastern states are better off. that's where every thing goes first, perth is probably the most isolated city  also the eastern state is where the great barrier reef lies anyway... BTW what's this about...
  12. stocking order for tang

yes the blue tang as in Dorie :) I haven't got a hermit crab yet. I was thinking of getting a few, but haven't been able to find a shop that actually sells them. How about sticking the clip near the top of the surface? the hermits shouldn't be able to reach it right? BTW thanks for the long...
  13. stocking order for tang

so far i'm thinking about a naso, blue, yellow and a powder blue in that order too. BTW why is naso difficult to keep? are they picky eater or something? i'm still not sure about the size of q tank, i might just put the naso straight into the main tank since there are only 5 chromis and a pair...
  14. stocking order for tang

thanks for that naso it is then... How many tang can you keep in a tank this size? also question on quarantine tank, how big should it be? will a 10 gallon, a heater, power head, some pvc to hide in be enough? (for tangs)
  15. stocking order for tang

Just wondering if you want to keep a few different tangs, is there general rule of order in introducing them to the tank? for example maybe you would want to put yellow tang first coz it's the smallest (maybe least aggresive) and the big one such as naso tang last? cheers BTW tank size is 300...
