How can a tank with frags compete with colonies? bush vs gore comes to mind

Meaning you have to start somewhere before you have a tank full of colony's. Or you can just buy them, Witch would defeat the purpose of enjoying watch your tank bloom and watch the work you put into those frags and the Journey you took to get that one frag. Thats how it all starts.

my vote is ALBANO. hands down. You would have to see his tank and its operation to fully appreciate it. His tank is what inspired me to do more research and learn as much as I could about this hobby. And besides he's been reefing longer than I've been born. Saltwater since 73

If any body think for a second that my tank was put together with colonies they r wrong 1000%. I started 4yrs ago with LPS corals and switched two yrs ago all my corals started as frags. Yes most people that know me say that my corals are on steroids that may have something to do with it, but also comes with patience and expertise and I dont consider myself as I know enough so please dont try to Insult somebody who was and is successfull because you will be doing nothing but showing how ignorant you are and thats y maybe your tank dont look full of colonies.

Ummmm I wasnt saying you. It was a general statement to the guy who wrote how a tank with frags can compete with a tank with colonies. Had nothing to do with anyone on the list. But thanks for your nasty comments.

Duke I dont think my comments are nasty at all. The competition is about the nicest Tank and by no means I am saying my tank is the nicest. You refered to my tank that I bought colonies and thats y u should vote on a tank with frags. I give away colonies to make room for new frags but I do it in a way that the tank always look full. There are few of them in display tanks in petshops and some get fraged.

Show me where i referred to your tank? I dont know you, never seen your tank and you never seen mine so why would I refer to you. And where did I say vote for a tank with frags? Why do people read into things instead of just reading what is wrote? And yes go read your post again and tell me how that post wasnt nasty. I f I see a tank full of encrusted colorful frags I am more impressed then seeing a tank with loose colonies that they just bought. My statement had absolutley nothing to do with you
