Julian Sprung was born in 1966 in Miami Beach, Florida and is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology. He is President of the aquarium industry company Two Little Fishies, Inc. that he co-founded in 1991.
Julian has been keeping marine aquariums for more than 30 years, and is an aquarium design consultant, author, and photographer.
He has dived in various Caribbean locales as well as in the Red Sea, Australia, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Japan, France, Croatia, Maine, and Oregon.

Joe Yaiullo, ?justjoe? in his online identity, is co-founder and curator of the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead, New York. Unlike the curators of many public aquariums, Joe is also an ambitious coral-reef aquarist in his private life, and started as a hobbyist like thousands of others.
Perhaps this is why Long Island Aquarium includes a gigantic reef aquarium, which contains 20,000 gallons (75,000 L) of seawater and the largest aquarium-grown biomass of stony corals in the world. Perhaps most exciting, the exhibit is now witnessing regular spawning events of many reef fish species from anthias to large tangs and wrasses.

Michael S. Paletta is one of North America?s leading amateur saltwater aquarists. He has been involved in the design and setup of more than 60 marine aquariums, including the 4,500-gallon reef exhibit at the National Aquarium in Baltimore and a number of reef systems at the Pittsburgh Zoo Aquarium. He has a degree in biology, psychology, and chemistry from Dickinson College and holds a master?s degree in psycho-pharmacology from Yale University.
He works in the field of biotechnology and lives near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he has several marine systems, including a 1,200-gallon reef aquarium.
