Your dhk is very important...L M H measurements just wont cut it....i was having growth problems before in my nano tank and I started to pay close to my dkh and dosing habits. Problem solved!! worth a shot before you go spend a couple hundred bucks

i think i just realised why my alk stays high.....i could be maybe because im adding a little bit too much ph buffer to the Makeup-water i add to the tank

I have a 55 gallon reef that had an Aquatinic MH/T5 combo. This past winter I switched to a 6 T5 setup ( Current Nova Extreme Pro ), and still see excellent growth, so I can tell you, as the others have told you, that T5's and MH are both fine for SPS.

Others have suggested new bulbs. I 2nd that...

i think im going with the ( TEK Light Elite HO T5 48" x 8 Bulb )....or should i go with the 6 bulbs?

where is the best place to buy the fixture and the bulbs?
