I may be off here, but those growth tips look fine. When you have new growth, the tips are white. Did there used to be polyps on the part that now has no polyps? With so much polyp extension on the rest of the coral, it seems to me that those are simply new growth tips.

Anyone agree? disagree?

Yeah there used to be polyps more to the ends now just those sticking out the top i moved it a little closer to the top friend said that he wasnt getting enough light and that he should be a lot greener
