This is what I use daily Kent part A and B for nano tanks.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009YF4AS/?tag=reefs04-20

I dose according to the instructions and use it at night and as far as i can tell (I tested the ph at 3am)it keeps the ph stable during the day and night.
I also have a 29g biocube and my Ca is 430 Alk/dkh is 2.39/6.7 and unfortunately I never bought the magnesium test, so i don't know it. I have the original metal halide ligth and the only sps that I have are a birdnest and a green acropora (don't now the name)they birdnest is growing fast, the acro is slowsly growing, the other livestock seems to be doing well. That's the only thing I add to my tank, and i do water changes weekly. I used to use reef crystal, but I changed to instant ocean and ever since then my phosphate has risen. Don't really know if its the salt, but that's the only thing I can think of. I will be switching to ESV soon.

I never test my tanks.
I do very large water changes (10-15 gl on a solana is close to half the water volume or more). I have decent growth on corals, but nothing compared to the best coral growing tanks I have seen...but I do not want that type of tank, way to much work...feeding once a day is almost to much work.

Every 2 weeks I:
10-15gl WC on each tank
Refill auto top offs

Once a month I:
Clean glass
Change carbon
Clean/change filter pads
Clean skimmer cups

Every 6 months I vacuum out the rear sections.

Not exactly high maintenance reefing.
