Filtration question

im more worried about the 1/2" return. does that matter? i can always put another overflow with another 1 inch drain going into my sump that isnt a problem.

Well I have an over flow box with 2 drains, that came with my MegaFlow4, my sump is doing good, & my tank, I don?t see any negative effects on my tank by have the Marineland 5500 Pump 1,385 GPH, the only thing is some extra noise from them over flow box & the drains, but I like it, it give me a more of an ocean felling
