What would be the difference between mixing longer and being circulated through your tank...i have my mixing pump on every other hour to keep it aerated. I could probably go less...

I always mix and let it sit for at least 24 hours just to make sure the PH and everything balances out before doing the water change.

I been using reef crystal since I got in the hobby last year. I like it but I'm looking to switch as well. It's a great salt for its price and does the job. But I'm wondering if other salts may be better with more trace elements and calcium and magnesium.

I always test water parameter before i use the new salt water. I figure it is close to 14 hours before the water is used. That is how long it takes the mag 24 to heat the 55 gal drum. I would not use your new salt water before you are sure all your parameters are correct. Including Ph. I would no suggest circulating that water through your tank before it is ready.
