Apex PH probe calibration issues?

I just got a new PH probe but I cant seem to get the probe to calibrate at all I put it in to the 7.00 and it is just settling at 0546 and not really moving. What is going on is it a bad probe?

The numbers aren't moving at all once you put it into the 7.0 solution?

They moved a few but never more then 5.46ph

Hmmm... have you removed the rubber cap that comes with the probe?

Not to high jack but can you do it without the 7.0. Need to do mine also but don't have 7.0 solution.

Well my old probe went bad and it was saying my ph was 5.2- 5.4 now that I got a new one I wanted to calibrate it. How do you do it without 7.0 then?

No you need to do it both with the to calibrate it correctly.

Ok here's what's going on hooked it up last night it says 8.07 at night 8.00 just add water to the tank
