When I did wash mine, I put them in the washing machine with a capful of bleach.
I let that run once.
Then I put them in again with just water.
then I hung it somewhere to dry.

+1. I have a front loader, wash once with bleach inside out, wash again with just water, then finish with an extra spin cycle to help dry it.

I change them every other day, or three depending on how soon they clog.

I put them in a bucket until I have the last set. I have 5 sets. I then turn them inside out, put them in the washer with a 1/4 cup of bleach, and run them through the "whites" cycle with pre-wash & double rinse. I then turn them back to outside out, and run them through another "white" cycle with another 1/4 cup of bleach. Third "white" cycle with the double rinse with just water. They come out basically dry.

i dunno about you guys but my washer and dryer are expensive LG's. My wife would kill me if i put anything with saltwater next to it :lol2: i use to buy socks and when used up i threw em out. to me it seems not worth it when cleaning them with water full of crap and phosphates and then using that sock once dried in your tank again

chlorine is more corrosive than a little salt water, but don't tell your wife that.

So when you go to the beach; do you throw away your swimming trunks, towels, blankets, and your wife bathing suit?:scratchch

Lets see now, I use at least 4 sets per week. 8 X 5.39= $43.12 + shipping. I will continue to wash them in my not so cheap Kenmore front load washing machine.;)
