Wingo you saw my RDSB at home.
I went from 25 to 10 in a month.

Pretty cool.

I build couple out of the 5g salt bucket for friends but never have readings back from them. Some with swirling water some just straight path-never know which ones works better.

25 ---> 10 in a month. That's pretty good results for the small size of your remote DSB.

Mardel 5 in 1 Dip

here is your problem , using this 5 in one method doesnt work ,you dip 5 diff chem in a little test tude and you want an accurate reading ,not going to happen

1st get yourself a nomal ,non lazy test kit ,,being lazy is only going to make you lose corals .how long does it really take to test with salifert ,not much really
after get a salifert test kit test your water and see what happens ,you might be driving yourself crazy for nothing ,JMO

Clams eat nitrate like sponges (at least I've read that many places)- I have a 4.5" crocea in my 16g and I did notice a huge difference once he was in there...

Havne't checked nitrates in way too long though- can't say for sure anymore..

I've also read that xenia tend to reduce nitrate in tanks as well..
