Ok let's help you not kill your stuff. What is the wattage of that heater because it looks huge..you only need about 100w heater. What is the temperature of your tank? If you do not know get yourself a DIGITAL thermometer. Go for the one that sticks to the OUTSIDE of the tank and you just stick the little probe inside. Those bulbs and fixture you have will probably not be enough to sustain coral. If you are short on cash you can get a 4 bulb T5 fixture fairly cheap from ebay and that will be great for that tank to grow any coral. As mentioned your tank parameters are important. How long has the tank been running? Is there anything else alive in there? Where did you get your rock from? You also want to keep your tank topped off because when it evaporates it will change your salinity.
Ok I am not going to beat the cow to death I dove in Reefing also when I got started I miss a few pages well in the books am a full times renegade reefer (I don't test my tank or fellow every body else I do my own ish)and since the Reefing police got u in hand cuffs I am goin to make ur day change those lights to a more suitable lighting and take a trip o t the Bronx and ill hit off with a renegade pack of corals them almost impossible to kill (hey am not telling u as I do I have few years experience in Reefing and killed a few things over the year )
