Is there a way to QT new fish without having a separate tank for it? It seems like lately i've been buying new fish, acclimating then, putting them in the display tank and then couple days later they die on me. Is there anything i could setup for a couple of days to use to get the fish to start eating instead of putting it in the display tank right away which makes it a big risk of survival?
Thanks

I initially didn't have a QT tank; lesson learned. I then got a 5 gal tank with a small filter, and cover with built in LED from Walmart for $25. I add a small heater and a nano Koralia which I had and I was good to go. Still need to top off and do water change.

Yes I agree. I learned like many others its not the new fish dying. It's the new fish bringing in a disease that will infect your tank and wipe out your fish. Whenever someone asks me I tell them how my tank was wiped out. A qt is well worth the investment and probably cheaper then starting over after a wipe out.
