120g long rebuild

I'm rebuilding my 120g long that I lost in the hurricane. I'm in a house now so my plan is to put the sump in the basement and plumb it up to the 1st floor. How do I determine the size of the pump I need as well as the size of the drain and return pipes?

Also, any issue sealing the sump with a lid to reduce humidity in my basement? The display tank will not have a lid. It gets pretty humid already down there so I run a dehumidifier, seems like my dehumidifier will never turn off if there's no lid on the sump?
