Havent changed the pure chem yet... its been in there for maybe 2 months. I will try a 10% water change every week. No skimmer, sponges are in but i rinse and change them when needed. I feed twice a day pellets and once a week frozen, only what they eat.

Ok that explains something at least. The Chemipure should be replaced once a month otherwise it will start leaching stuff back into your system. Do that, keep on top of it and you will win the battle. You're right on track as far as your maintenance routine and I would reduce the feeding to about once per day for now. Hope this helps.

Chemipure is a fancy GFO, and has to be replaced at least monthly or it will start leaching impurities back into your system.

Purigen and chemoure is useless in bags. Get a GFO reactor. Or put small amounts of GFO every couple of days into a double sided filter pad.

Clean sand bed weekly
Turkey Baster on all your rocks daily until nothing comes off

Remove any HA by hand w a new tooth brush.

Make sure your rodi is testing 0 TDs.

I jus had the same issue and did all of the above and now it's gone in 2 weeks.

Oh and no skimmer?! That's a huge problem in my opinion unless you do like 20 percent WC Weekly.

I vacume sand bed and bast every wc. I will try the tooth brush... saving for skimmer any recommendation for a 28 nano?
