I worked at the store that they had on near 33rd street for a year. I had to work at the queens store twice because of absent employees. Those two days were murder. The owner or previous owner, (I dont know if ownership changed) Mike was one nasty SOB. He treated his employees like crap. The manager at my store was a very nice guy. But when Mike came by to check on things he would talk down to him in front of the employees.

I got started in saltwater because of working at that store.

The 33rd street store closed many years ago. I never understood why. They were making 2K a day on slow days. I think it had something to do with the lease. Oh, well.

come om , every one knows that store owners look at us as sick addicted individuals. lets face it. we come to a store , ask questions that employees cannot answer, we dont buy sick fish and most likely will tell a next standing newb not to buy it. Those guys are getting rich not on the people Who knows how to take care of the complex tanks, but on people who would pay $ 30 for salifert test, some salt, bulb, spent $ 300 dollars and walk away with nothing
educated hobbyists is a annoying for most live fish store owners.
the common thing to hear from LFS owner SALT WATER STUFF MAKES NO MONEY. they treat a lady who buy gupes much nicer couse she just bring her money and go away happy
