Oh - the fish list is ok for a reef tank that is 37G. That amount of fish is on the higher side but should be OK. Run the skimmer wet (remove as much organics as possible).

I looked at the chart and the only incompatibilities were the wrasse with everything (marked as caution) and the other incompatibility was blennies with grammas(caution)

The problems I had with the chart were:
1. Grammas are basslets, right?
2. What are firefish labeled as on the chart?

OOOH, on closer look the wrasse is caution with corals and live rock, but not compatible with inverts.

It looks like that wrasse is the source of all my problems. Do you think it would harrass my fish and then eat the corals and inverts and screw up the live rock, even if I added it last? Maybe I should just not get the wrasse. Is there anything else that would eat the flatworms and bristle worms? That is the main reason why I even wanted the wrasse.

What does it mean to "run the skimmer wet"?

Six Lines can be nasty. Personally in that size tank with that lineup I would scratch that one from the list. As for biological control of flatworms, the Six Line is no guarantee and the Gramma will eat bristleworms as well, although personally I don't really see that as a benefit since bristleworms are excellent scavengers and most species are reef safe.

Running the skimmer "wet" means you set it to produce watery skimmate vs. a "dry" (thick sludge) skimmate.

would grammas mess with the blenny? It says you should take caution when putting them together. Also, would the firefish mess with anyone, or would any one mess with the fire fish? I could not locate the firefish on the compatability chart.

The blenny is the one I would be concerned with. Royal Grammas tend to defend their hiding spots but are generally reclusive fish. The firefish will be the most timid of the group and could get picked-on by more aggressive fish. They are known jumpers too so make sure you've got the canopy well enclosed.

so you think the gramma might attack the blenny if it entered it territory?

would a bicolor psuedochromis be more or less agressive than the gramma?

Grammas will defend their hiding spot(s) but I'd be more concerned overall with the blenny being aggressive.

Probably more.
