Maxijet MOD Kit

anyone here has this put on a maxijet 1200?
i have heard it is a bit noisey? is it true?

I got one from aquatic express about a week ago. Works great! No noise, at least not noticeable to me.

I just got one. I like it better then my koralia #4. Cheper smaller and better looking.

I just made 3 of them to try out...So far they seem fine. (except I think one is off center) if you have tools try one, it only takes about 10 min and <3 bucks in parts.

I put one on a mj1200 it was noisy, I put it on a mj900 no noise same flow.

We hooked up one here to try it out and to photograph it for our next catalog. I think that how noisy it is really sort of depends on the size and particulars of your tank. It didn't seem to noisy to me on a 1200, but everyone's tolerance for noise is different. I haven't had it connected to a maxi jet 900, so I have no experience with that.

I personally love the Koralias, we've got quite a few of the largest size set up in our coral vats for extra circulation, but that little kit for the maxi jets seem to be a nice alternative. The kit isn't made by the company that produces the maxi jet (at least not the ones we sell), it's produced by another company.

We're carrying Tunze now, so I know our graphic staff have been working on photographing that gear as well.

I have it on a 1200 and I can definitely hear it 20 feet away on my bed when I try to sleep.
I have emailed the company and asked for the bigger impeller which supposedly solves the problem. I'll let you know when I get it.

i have 2 1200 one makes noise on and off and the other is quiet as a mouse but im very satisfied with them lots of flow

due to the mixed reviews on noise factor, i am leaning toward :
gulf stream ll.
does any1 have this? i hear the chance of noise is less cause of bigger propella n better made.

i have two on mj600 very quiet no noise and more powerful then the two sieo 1800 the only thing i cant fig out how to use the clip i dont feel safe with the sucktion cup bracket anyone can help please before something bad happens

i have no doubts about noise for maxijet 600 or others. just the 1200 model.

I have it on 2 4's and no noise at all... And the flow is good...
