too many snails

i have a GANG of snails in my tank. i think they are Stomatella varia
there everywhere day and night. to the point i think they might be reaching nuisance levels. how many of these guys is to many?

I think you confusing those numbers with something else..

I never even heard that rule for regular Astrea or Nassarius snails.

I've heard it for the more common small ones like astrea and turbo but i personally don't use that much

It's a small snail, why worry? I have a ton of them in my tank but they only come out at night in big numbers...you can always take some out if you see to many in the day time...

Oops didnt bother to read the type of snail. But yes i have heard many many times 1 per gallon.

All critters multiply based on the food supply. You nust be supplying a lot of what they eat.
Reduce the food supply and they will reduce their population.

BTW stomatellas are the ones that resemble a mix of nudi + snail if they dont have little shells and big body then its probably not stomatellas

Depends on what kind of snails you bought. Most snails sold to hobbyists feed on microalgae.

Look I got about 200 different mixed, some big, some small snails in a 120G and they are all fine. They get enough food...

BTW, let me add, about 16 starfish, 6 cleaner shrimps, 4 coral bandit shrimps, and there could be others.
