Would like to upgrade to filtration system

Hi all,

I would like to know if a sump would be a good idea to update my filtration system? Currently I have a 36 gallon bow front running a Aquaroma Skimmer and a Biowheel filtration. If so, should it have bio balls and culerpa? Or just one? Please advise. :grouphug:

yep but you have to have lighting. I have also seen people who use live rock and culerpa. I think there is someone here who builds custome sumps. They are really awsome.

That would be great because I need a 10 gallon. I barely have any space underneath the tank. And where are you located?

you can use either glass or acrylics but when using acrylics in a glass tank you must not depend on silicone nor the solvent type acrylic glue.
melev has a good explanation how to DIY and the thoery behind it.

Theoretically you don't NEED a sump on any tank. However, a sump will add increased water volume and help stabilize the system, give him a place to hide an in-sump skimmer, heaters, reactors, etc.
