I just did a test here are the readings. I think they are really high...
Ammonia: 0 ppm
pH: 8.2-8.4
Nitrite: .25-.5ppm
Nitrate: 40-60ppm (I think this is insane!)

Should I do anything?

Yes, the hermits can just feed of crap, the copepod and amphipods even more :) I fed my tank about 5 tiny pellets a week for 5 months and I had a pest of copepods 25 hermits, 20 nasarius and 1 peppermint shrimp. (obviously no fish in the tank)

Hello Guys,

I waited a few more days and went ahead and added a small hermit crab, snail, and a Coral Banded Shrimp (yes, I know not really wise because he can eat the hermit and the snail, but I figured if he's well fed... it's okay?).

Also... I found out what JLAudio gave me, it's a Conch (my bad I didn't know what it was)

Is it normal that the coral banded shrimp just hangs out in the rocks?

Here are some pictures. Will do a water change in 2 days.

Spoke too soon. Little guy got sucked into the overflow today while he was sleeping. I come home from Church and I couldn't find him. Then I see him in my 2nd chamber on my filter floss :(

RIP- Dude I never felt this sad before about a fish. He got along SOOO well with the other one.

Im sorry about your loss. Maybe you can get a plastic mesh to put in front of the intake until your fish grow larger or wiser. If you get anoyed with the chaeto algae in your main display you can set up a chaeto chamber in the back of your aquarium with a home depot light.
