just got my mp40 what will you guys say the best settings are have it on my 75g mix reef .have it set on reef crest now:shhh:

Have you tried to set it to make waves?
I think thats the best one IMO.

what Jason mean is one of these modes: Blue Mode (short wave) and Pink Mode (long wave).

as far as i remember,
Green = constant max speed
Purple = Lagoon Mode ( random long pulse)
Yellow = Reef Crest ( random strong pulse)
Blue = Wave (short pulse)
Pink = wave ( long Pulse )

Set the the controller to the blue light then crank the knob all the way press the set button and the light will being to flash (you might have to raise the pump a little higher) then with the knob adjust the wave to your liking i have mine set about half..

Try to keep the water in the tank lol..good luck.
I'll post a video of mine and you tell me if the settings are the same.
