Yes it is safe to drink ,you must run the TFC for a minimum of 50 gal first .I've been using it for many years ,it might be cleaner than bottled water from the supermarket.
Not safe to drink, i stand corrected on this one. Although i personally use to drink it.

From what I know, it is NOT ok to drink RO water for long term consumption. (I believe since the minerals are wiped out, you will lose essential minerals when your body compensates.)

If you are in NYC, the water is very good to drink as long as your plumbing is ok.

Recently set up my RODI unit and it has been working fine......
When I ran it initially the tds showed 6 or 7 after the RO...after that the unit stabilized to 1 or 2 total tds before going to the RO....for the past couple of weeks it is at 0 tds after the RO.
Now I know that it is not recommended to drink water that has gone thru the DI....becuz 0 tds water can ( arguably) be harmful.....
But my water is at 0 tds just out of the RO....should we be using it for drinking water or not????
