I have gone by the directions on the Tech-M label. You test Mg first, then dose accordingly. I would not exceed the daily dosing recommended on the label which means I had to dose a number of days to get the Mg level up slowly. I also kept dosing my two part Reef Fusion and monitored alk and calcium all the while. My Bryopsis is eliminated, still have some green hair algae in that tank but even it is on the decline. Nudibranch's are still munching away. I will try to get follow-up photos today if I can get off work early to show the difference from the last photos in this thread. No inverts dead in the tank either. Fish except for the Scooter Blenny are all moved to another tank to reduce bio-load on that tank until all algae is under control.

The quantitative part of the dosing...

Alrighty.. sounds good.

Well I have the 6g Nanocube.

However, obviously there really isn't 6g of water in there.

There is 5lbs of sand and about 6.5lbs of live rock.

So I'm assuming there is probably a total of 5 - 4g of water?

I'm @ work right now, but I think I remember the Kent Tech M label saying 1/4 teaspoon for each 1 gallon.

So.. one full tea spoon, just to play it safe? 1g = 1/4tsp so 4 (1/4 tsp) = 1 teaspoon

possibly 1 teaspoon and a quarter?

Sorry for such a newbish post, but well #1.. I am a newb! lol

And #2 this is my first reef tank and besides this pain in the ass bryopsis, the tank has been doing pretty well, and I've had some pretty good growth..so I don't want to end up totally screwing up this tank and losing all my $$ on top of it :splitspin

I've checked out a lot of forums, and they say this Kent Mg is the way to go..and I've only seen literally one post of some one saying some corals started to bleach.

Anyways it is what it is... hopefully it all goes smoothly.

Thanks for all the advice on this thread guys. I really appreciate it.:division:
