i'm just curious. If 4-6 hours in a large volume of tank water with no power will kill corals, how do they survive 24 hours in a tiny bag with a cup of water when they ship?

because they dont have a ton of fish in there sucking up all the oxygen and crapping in the water would be my guess...

Most reputable sellers that ship fish overnight will top off the bag with pure O2. This provides a ton of oxygen compared to the non-agitated surface area of your tank (which doesn't have the benefit of pure oxygen above it).

In addition, there is only a single organism using O2 in the bag. Fish aren't the only things to use O2 in your tank, and oxygen depletes rapidly.

I have UPC 1500 brand new I just hook up 3 days ago now it's fully charge you can barrow it . Call me 201 993 5085 I'm located in the Bronx or whoever got black out I can lend you my UPC back up

i think the only diff with shipping a coral in a bag and no oxygen in a tank, is that there is more waste being created in the tank. so it's more important to get some oxygen in the tank.

How much was the UPC 1500?
I really thought I was gonna loose the achillies tang and the hawaiin cleaner wrasse! They were literally on the bottom of the tank on top of each other and breathing heavily when I left the house to pick up a battery operated pump. After all said and done. In the morning they were all swimming normally! Although I lost my mystery wrasse!!! Hopefully they'll be still alive when I get home.
