The actual instructions are at the very beginning of the thread and as per my request the amount of chit-chat on the thread is limited.

You do NOT have 12-20 hours before things start getting ugly. You need to get oxygen into that tank NOW.

Do you have any battery operated air pumps? If not, you are going to have to manually get air in there, easiest way to do it immediately is take a clean pitcher and start picking up water out of the main tank and dump it back in from a height as high as you can get.
Do this as many times as possible and you will need to do it every hour (minimum) until you get an air pump in there

Dude, run out to the HomeDepot or Lowes and pick up a little genorator (and hurry before others beat you to it). They have a small one for $300. Being an electrician and with plenty of experience dealing with the power company, it can take 1 - 3 days for you to get your power back (especialy with all the downed power lines this storm caused). Good luck.

I'm just curious. If 4-6 hours in a large volume of tank water with no power will kill corals, how do they survive 24 hours in a tiny bag with a cup of water when they ship?

Good point . But non of us can really say what the time line . 1 we dont now what size tank he has. 2 how many fish he stocks. 3 how many corals he has and 4 if he has a nitrate problem or anything else . This is all a factor in his time frame so no one can really say how long he has
