Fish is eating zoanthids! Please help

Hello...I just bought a new type of tang...I forgot what its called. But I have a problem...It's eating my zoanthids! Its not interested in anything but the zoanthids...Is there ANY way I can prevent this?

Yes it is a type of tang that is NEW TO THE TANK, I got it 2 days ago and all my zoanthids are gone

And this is exactly why you research a fish before you just go and buy it.

Don't stress it bro , I had a red chocolate chip star in my tank, and for two months he was awesome until my acans and softies got eaten ! And no the damn idiot in the shop didn't fill me in on this species and told me he was a reef safe star!

So u can't even trust the shop owner, just do your research and thank god for harlequin shrimp lololol. Teehhee!

Another thing, don't put anymore Tangs in your tank because it is too small.

You have to research fish before you buy them, not only is it a responsible thing to do but it can alleviate headaches like this from occuring. No offense but there is a big difference between a tang and a butterfly
