New Reef Tank......Coral Question

hey Paul i was gonna make those 400 watt metal halides like you told me on the phone that day but then my dad said it would be to much electricity so he gave me the money for leds. i bought them but do you think there pretty comparable to metal halides? oh an im using ozone so far its working good and the tank got really clear. the sweet spot of my tank is around 350mv.

Good to hear you're having nice results with the ozone. As far as the LED's, it all depends on the brand.

lol im sure he doesnt mind us hijacking his thread. i know him to well so he doesnt care but yea there cree 3w leds. the brand new ones that came out a couple of weeks ago they are 72 8,500k whites. and 72 450-480nm blue. they are supposed to have like 20% more lux then the previous model of lights and there gonna be dimmable and im making the fixture myself so i hope it come out good.

ok yea ill keep that in mind. the only part that sucks is that the drivers i went with there was a website that i could save $200 for the same exact ones but i would have to wait till late February to get them. so i just did it that way and bought a new sump/ refugium with the extra money.

i saw some of the pics of your tank from your gallery but ill try to post some pics of my tank soon. its just that ive been doing so many changes because i had an ich problem so i had to get all the coral out and everything so its kind of all messed up right now but il try to post pics soon.

yea that does look pretty nice for a phone. but ill try posting some tomorrow because now i gotta get back to this damn homework because theres midterms soon so all these teachers are giving us like 300 questions packets every night and its getting ridiculous lol but yea i give jkedra some frags for the homework sometimes haha.
