Chris, if you can possibly take a magnifying glass and look really closely at the shell, see if you can find any pyramid snails. They munch on snails as their primary food source. The pyramids are really tiny.

The Trigger is also my first guess though.

In you q/t i see a small starfish clinging to the glass, i would remove them from the q/t and if you see any in the main tank..please take the time out to remove them too - my personal experience those starfish ate my zoa and palys.

Thanks guys for all the insight I greatly appreciate all the help and I am removing the starfish and will be putting them in the refugium as far as Trigger and crabs they will be donated to a Reefer.. if anyone one is interested and live near Albany shot me a pm...
