LED Lighting systems (NOT DIYs)

Aside from the Acan LED Lighting systems, can anyone recommend any other brand of "plug & play" LED systems? Maybe I'm not looking right but Google searches are giving me a lot of DIY stuff and despite the fact that I am VERY handy, when it comes to LED lighting is something I'd highly prefer to buy complete and in a "package" ready to use. Sorry, almost forgot, 46g bowfront, 36" long.

While I'm here, I have a bit of a rant :anger2: :

I noticed that Country Critters in Patchogue is an Acan Lighting dealer. OK, I call them. As usual, a squeaky little female answers the phone, I ask if they carry Acan, she says ?let me check, hold on please?. A few minutes later some guy comes on the phone. I ask the same question ? ?hold on please?. A few more minutes go by. ?We don?t have any but we can get almost anything?. I ask if he has any set up over any reef tanks ? ?I really couldn?t tell you?. Sensing that he know nothing either, I asked if ANYONE in the store would know about these ? ?Well, you?re talking to the wrong guy, the reef guys won?t be in until after about 1PM blah blah blah? so I just say ?OK, I?ll call back after 1, thank you? and hang up.
It?s amazing how some businesses stay alive?:irked:

For non dimming fixtures, you can look into the Maxspect G2-170w.

Good news! But you can't dim this one from what I read ^above^ - how does that work out for you? Do you dim it with an external fixture?

imo i dont think dimming is necessary, i have mine switch from blue - violet- white-violet blue

i did hear that the G3 (not out yet) will have dimming feature so if you can wait a bit check those out

I did a benn lokking into the led b4 i got my lights, sorry to say the only company i seen that has a dimming and timer(controller) all in one is the acans.

? AI is a dimmable and fully controllable unit with there controller or an apex/reefkeeper...

controller is 85$. it does not come with it. i am waiting for 2 ai sol blues to go over my 70 cube

you can buy the package with or without the controller, those with apex and other controllers dont need AI's controller

That is correct but straight out of the box if you do not have a controller you need to put purchase the unit from ai. Actually if you want to control it with the reef keeper you need the alc. profilux needs some cable. So straight out of the box you need the controller

OK dont understand what your saying . your saying he's right but it doesnt come with it . You buy the AI it comes with the controller for 629 the ones that dont have it are the add on modulars that are 529 so it come with a controller out of the box depending what you want.

for 629 you are purchasing the unit plus controller. the 529 one does not allow for controlling(timers and dimming) without a external controller whether it a alc from reefkeeper or the cable for profilux and a module from apex i believe. so his assumption that all are controllable out of the box is not correct unless you have other hardware

sorry been researching this system for a long time now. ive also built several smaller systems for myself and friends. alot of them are very similiar but i would never purchase a system that i cant dim. i lost about 7k in corals because my reefbrites toasted a few hundred polyps of darth mauls
