Aqua Illumination Sol + Controller

I have 3 AI SOl Whites with controller.

Selling each unit for $325 and controller for $50. Will sell everything for $900.

The plan was to hang these 3 over my 125 build and then supplement with my blue diy led. But i actually fell in love with the white light look. So much more natural.

I am no longer going to build the 125 tank so these have to go. :0(

I have never used them except to make sure they work when i bought them. I bought them from Manhattan reefers. 2 from one guy and one from another. On both occasions i saw them running in tank and niether dude said they had them for more than 6 months. Heck the guy that had 2 and controller had just got them.

Everyone is asking.... these are the white ones that look like apple made them. Not the black units. I believe the blacks ones are older. Not sure. These are the newest model out right now.

A guy literaly asked why are they called white... is it cause the plastic is white?

The White sol (with white plastic) Has 2 white leds and one Royal Blue. The Sol Blues (also white plastic) Has one white led one Royal Blue and one Blue. I think the Sol Blues are the more popular LEDs cause people like the 14k-20k look. As do i.

Reason why i got white is because my understanding is that the Blue LED is for pop only. Doesnt help are corals live or grow. Only make them look better to our eyes. Which is fine but not at the ratio of 1 white to 1 royal blue to 1 blue.

Something more like 2 white to 2 royal blues to 1 blue would be something more fitting if you ask me. Or even 1:2:1. Basically 1 third of a sol blue is useless except to our eyes.

With the sol white all is useful. And in a 6 foot tank where i needed 6 sols blues i figured i could save a bunch of money by getting 3 sol whites (more light for my money) and then supplement with more royal blue and blue at a more proper ratio.

This is just my opinion and what i believe to be facts that ive researched. Dont really want to start a debate just want to explain the diff between the 2 models all while plugging mine. :0)

Do you know what lense is on the systems?

I have no idea. Whatever AI uses on them. Mr saltwater tank tv on youtube said they are some of the best optics.
