Just restarting the thread on this. I have a 72''x36''x27''(height), marineland perfecto tank, 3 panels of starphire glass. comes with stock black stand, 40 gallon sump and external overflow manifold for up to 4 overflow boxes. I also have a super reef octopus 2000external skimmer that I will include for the right offer. For the entire package I'm looking to get $1000 but will settle for best offer.

I live in westchester, must arrange to come to my house and move the tank. It is 400 lbs completely empty, so bring 4 or 5 guys to help move it. Other than that, contact me directly 845-893-9208 for inquiries.

Full disclosure: on the right side viewing panel there is a little bit of white cloudiness on part of the glass. This is from letting coraline algae grow on the glass for too long without scraping it off. It is not terribly noticeable when there is a fully stocked tank, but I would personally invest in a glass buffer and polish it before adding water.

The stand is functional but needs a paint job. I think it's oak painted black or some equally sturdy wood. Stock stand.

Tank is 5 years old. Absolutely no leaks or stability issues.

Starphire is possible to get buffed out BUT it will cost you more them the tank is worth. Extreamly time consuming, the powder to do it is very expencive and there is high chance the glass will break if you DIY and do not have practice doing it. So you both are kinda right

Is there a reason you're chiming in here other than to make a statement that is pure opinion? Glass is capable of being buffed and polished, pretty easy process if you know what you're doing.

because he had the same tank and same thing happened and would not buff out. thats why he commented, personally if it will buff out easy do it before selling

He's right... But what I meant by the comment was that, I haven't seen your tank and you might be able to buff out the tank if it's just 'a little cloudy', but if it's 'etched', IME there's little chance of repairing it.
I had 2 different glass shops look at my tank, 1 tried to fix it, the other said forget it... I sanded, buffed and polished with steel wool, liquid compounds, multiple acids, and 'professional' glass kits...Sorry, but nothing even made a slight improvement.
