I have a little yellow goby I need to find a new tank for.
He is cute and loves to sit in the branches of my SPS.
What's not so cute is he likes to bite the SPS polyps.
If you have a tank with lps and softies he would be perfect, as
he has no interest in those corals.
He does not do this all the time, but I'm worried about a few of my prized pieces that are not looking as good as they used to, so the little guy has to go :(

I'm hoping that catching him will not be difficult.

sorry, i did not specify, he is a yellow clown goby.
but I bet he would be happy in your tank

I will also give anyone who picks him up some soft coral I need to remove from my tank.

shall i hold him for you scotty?

do you have access to a slurp gun? that would get him out easy.

I'll take him! I'm looking for a citron, but haven't had any luck. So the yellow clown might have to do!

What softie are you getting rid of?

Jonathan,
I'm off to northern aquarium. If they dont' have a citron, I'll take the clown- as long as I can pass on the softies! (unless you've got some cool shrooms.)

I'll let you know later today. If someone else chimes in and wants it. Give it to them!

Not to kill your deal, but citron are known for being easier on SPS polyps and are more likely to NOT damage as much as Yellow clown goby, worse yet his yet more evil borther the black clown goby. Beware, trying to catch a YCG will insure some frags and a reaquascape. speaking from experience.

I have the evil black clown goby as well.
he does not bother the coral though.
he just hangs out in the birds nest all day.

I think I can take the ycg, he does not look that tough.

I'll also take him off your hands if everyone else falls through.
Let me know if you need another set of hands to catch him

son of a ...

does anyone know if there is a yellow goby eating nudibranch?

aaron came over today to help catch the goby.
I thought it would be easy because all he does it sit in the coral and not move much.
wrong.
we resorted to trying to suction him out, this did not work either.

after I closed the hood he went back to sitting in the coral.
damn you goby. he's messing with me.
anybody have a grouper I can borrow?

 you guys are mean.
as much as I want to kill the goby it's not his fault he's in my tank.
I'll get him out, but I'm not going to tear the tank apart.
I'm going to try to outsmart him. I hope I can, I mean he's just a 1" fish how smart can it be?

he likes to perch on things so I'm thinking of using those glue traps, I think they will work under water.

hehe, I'm just kidding, I know they won't work under water.

I'll post some creative options when I think of them.
