I have a pair of large Cross Hatch Triggers for sale. The male is 9 inches and the female is 6 inches.
Guys with the bigger tanks, here's your chance at getting a beautiful pair for $450

I was always attracted to the "reef safe" triggers such as the Blue throats or Blue Jaws. The Cross Hatches are just that much more esquiste. Even if they were going into my FO tank, they are that much more non-destructive than say a Huma Huma or Clown trigger. I use to have a Clown trigger back in the 70's in a 150g with an UG filter and not only did he rearrange much of dead coral deco but he eventually bit through the UG tube also.

They're a deep water fish, sometimes in schools in the open ocean. They were suppose to come in at 6" for the male and smaller for the female but this is what was sent to me. I actually have two pairs and am keeping one pair.

If they don't sell in a few days, they'll go in a 102g tank that I'm almost finished plumbing inline with my 120g. This way I won't have to change the water everyday!

Paul,
When I was speaking to the collector in Hawaii, he stated that he has never seen smaller males. In fact they are usually larger then the ones he shipped to me. Of course I think he needs some glasses cause he told me that the two males were about 6 to 7 inches.
I did a little bit of reading on them and I found an article about where everyone is looking for small males under 6 inches and that they are almost non-existent due to that the species don't start the transformation into a male until about 5 to 6 inches. He went on to state that at 4 inches and smaller, you can't tell if they are male or female.

Check out some of these crazy prices from Live Aquaria:

But I think their description is a bit off such as the 70g min sized tank and the aggressive part. They are actually pretty shy. Also goes on to say non-reef compatible.
