  2. Sea Cucumber????

hey i don't know much about them, however, I would first try to identify it, then if you have a qt tank i would put him in there for a while to see if he settles down, i assume you ordered online. it may have been a rough ride and only putting out defenses or something like that. It probably...
  3. toadstool question

every now and then my toadstool goes into remission for a few days. I used to get concerned about it but now it is just something it does and I know he will be back in a day or two at full strength. my question is why do they do this occasionally and when they do only one longer dead looking...
  4. Nano or not....that is the question.

interesting thread, i can be swayed both ways, the person who has a 5 galllon nano tank with the 55 gallon sump does have a nano tank as the display. but it is a 60 gallon system. hmmm not sure I would switch it around and have the 55 as the display and get a 10 gallon on the fuge...

  7. Hi everyone, new here! Starting a 90 gallon marine tank!

it isn't more surface area really for protien skimming it is more surface area for gas exchange. but the more surface area he means is it is more room for more equipment in the sump. if you have a longer sump you can house the skimmer and have baffles and return pump and it isn't all cramped.

  20. Nurse Smarty Pants' 30 gallon cube

what's great about this design is that there are no baffles. you don't have a little section for evaporation for a pump to starve. the whole sump is the last baffle. terrific set up, very impressed I can't wait to see it in action and let us know how it turns out.
