here it is hope this works i will start a thread on the recovery of my beloved SPS 120 gallon tank starting today, parameters below

Salinity 1.025
PH 8.21
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Iodide 0
Temp 78
Calcium 450
magnesium 1380
Nitrates 25
Dkh was 10.2 now 9.9 testing again tomorrow
Phosphates 0.25

Im running a Hamilton Cebu unit two MH 175w 14k three 80w atinic blue and one 80w 6500k all T5 and the millie at the bottom got hurt the worst he used to be full of pylops so you think they will all recover tested my water last night Alk down to 9.6 using salifert test kits


Sps seem to look ok. Once you get those PO4+NO3 levels down you're going to get some better growth on them. Btw, what type of lighting do you run ?

the millie at the bottom got hurt the worst he used to be full of pylops so you think they will all recover
milli's are light lovers, you might want to move that piece up slowly to a new place. But it should be fine as long as things remain stable.
Buttested my water last night Alk down to 9.6 using salifert test kits
That's a good sign that the coral are using it. Do you top-off with kalkwasser ?

no problem your not butting in thats why we post on here and actually im about to get a bottle of rowaphos for my TLF 150 and throw away that damn kent carbon i dont like it im gonna stick with Chemipure

If you are already vodka dosing, I would not use any GFO or any other phosphate removers. With patience, the vodka will bring your PO4 down. You don't want to strip too much from your system. Nice tank by the way! and def +1 on what Pauli said about Millies and placement.

i have a 200gl fully stocked sps and i run NP bio pellets and POx4 no carbon and the corals are doing great cal480 alk 9.5 mag 1200. im also from the bronx so if you want to link up one day let me know... most important thing keep hands out the tank...lol

Thanks it looked better before the incident but shes coming back aorund looked at green cap today and hes starting to color back up and moved the millie back to the top area just hoping to get some nice growth and a few more pieces i have one corner that doesnt get too much light and light water flow need something for that area what could you suggest and i still want a piece of that ecinata lol

Might have to put my hands in the tank one more time my flame angel killed my clam im not getting anymore clams :tired::grumpy:

Im happy to say that too all those following this thread my Alk has returned to normal 8.3 and my sps are starting to get their glory back i think i might even be able to recover the millie :smile: thank you all for your help stay tuned for the recovery pictures this isnt over yet, but i do have to have a moment of silence for the Mr. clammy he passed away last night :(:(:(:skull:
