Chevron Picking at my sps

I have an sps thats rtnn and I just saw my chevron take a chop at it. Are they know for nipping sps?

Hmm weird I remember seeing someone sell a not reef safe hippo tang because it was going at corals. I'd keep an eye on it and see what else is nips at

well i had powder blue picking on coral 6+ inch i sold it while ago .

if its rtn, it is probably nipping the dead tissue.

+1 my Chevy doesn't pic on any of my Sps...

some times when the tip of an acro looses tissue algae starts to form in very thin sheets at first and i think that its like a treat to them i don't have any data to back this up just my observation with my powder brown tang that was doing the same thing

This is what I think it is. You'd be surprised how quickly algae grows.

I think thats what it is. And no he doesnt pick at my other sps. I guess he's just helping me get rid of the sps thats rtnn, lol

with good water parameters the acro should heal itself otherwise throw it in the sump like i did with so many of mine its funny how two corals of the same species can have such dramatic differences in a tank i have 2 bird nests and one is hardly growing and one is outgrowing the other one 3to1 and they are maybe 5 inches apart
