SPS ID please

I don't recall who I got this piece from, and more importantly it's name.
Hope the pic is good enough. I had to adjust the colors so that it would show as it does in my tank. Please excuse the pink on the rocks.

kind of hard to tell becuase it's not really branching enough or close enough to see the coralites, but my guess would A. valida

Guess I have to wait til it grows out some more. It did encrust on to the rock it was on before I moved it.

The piece that is encrusted on that rock is greenish, lime, with a touch of the purple/maroon color the frag has. Does that help in ID'ing it?

Color will not help with an id.

Purple acropora sp. Anything else is just a guess.

Well, then my buddy is just going to have to wait until it grows more for an id. I bought it cause it is pretty. Don't really care what it is called.lol

Thanks Josh, I've only had it a year.:splitspin I'll try to find a previous pic of it, but it has grown quite a bit since I got.

coloring has nothing to do with id'ing,it's all about the coralites and growth structure
