They are generally easy to keep if your water parameters are right. I would place them with the same category along with Montipora Cap and digitatas. They were my first SPS when i started reefing back then...
For lighting, I kept them under PCs and they were fine...
depends on the species of Poci....Damicornis are like weeds and will do well almost anywhere....I have about 4-5 different types in my tank....but generally pinks like bright light up top, bright green lower and the brown green will do well anywhere..all like good flow....under your PCs the brown/green Damicornis should be Ok, but will be more brown .... forget pink or green ones.
They seem very easy to keep T5's will work. my friend has them under T5s and the pink turned brownish but I had it under t5s and it was pink/ purple on top of tank. now under LED's pink body with green polyps.. and my green one is one rock above the sand bed and is growing like a weed and fully green in color.. they are hardy corals.,.. GOOD LUCK..
I have a pink pocillipora. I kept first in my 150 gallons with 3 250w de bulbs. 10k and it did not keep it's super bright pink color! Now I down grade to 120 gallons and using the same lights and since march it has it's really pink color! I think you stars that you have a 150w 15k not enough intensity! But it will grow and trive! Or you will need a bit more wattage !
I have a colony size of a basketball placed at the bottom of the tank under 8 x 80 watt T5. another one close to the surface. they are both doing well so far.
If it's the same dimensions as mine (same footprint as a standard 30 gal, but ~27 inches high), you may need more light, unless you put it up near the top.
Its about 6" off the bottom under the MH and looking good starting to color up! How pink should it get. It is more pinker then it was when I got it how do you tell the diffrence between the difrent kinds?
