Hey Tom
After reading the thread again carbon would be a good addition but here is another thing to possibly check. Did your alk have any swings lately?
From my own experience having a mix reef sps and lps. Sps like lower alk in the mid 7 range and lps always do better in the upper range of 8-9. I lost quite a bit sps when I started trying to hit higher ranges and took longer for the survivors to acclimate to it. Now I just keep it in the mid 8's and all looks great again.

Why are your trates so high?
Always check to see if something fell into the main display, Refug, Sump. Also ck magnets that may have opened up and leaching corrosive, reactive and toxic material. Do you have an ORP meter? Just a thought.

Tom i feel your pain, maybe light or bulbs to strong
MAYBE TRY TO REDUCE THE LED TIME COULD BE BURNING THEM
Check to make sure nothing is rusting in your tank I remove my protein skimmer to clean it for first time in 8 months and found that my mag drive pumps casing had been cracked and was rusting very heavily around the crack
I also heard of something similar happening to a guy I sold my hob protein skimmer too his seal on the wet side of his power heads opened over time and exposed things that rusted he slowly lost all his sps didn't find the problem till it was 2 late
Also ck for UFO's lol
rust = gfo,
what salt are you using ? reason i ask because 4 of us went through this issue and it was a bad batch of salt, all levels seemed good for what we could test, cal, alk, and mag
alk should be 8-10
if it was from over light then it would start at the tips, which is usually how it happens with alk burn also
ulns really would cause a fade in colors before rtn
